Fourth of July weekend Day 1-Friday

We had a blast 4th of July weekend with Mima, Papa, Chris, Joe, Lacy, Joey, and Millie. We spent our 1st day swimming in Joe and Lacy's neighborhood pool until a crazy thunderstorm came carrying lots of lightning. We had to run for cover with the 6 grandbabies. As soon as we got under the clubhouse cover the rain started to pur down and a huge bolt of lightning struck very close to us. The children started to scream and cry so we headed inside the Clubhouse and the kids played there until the rain stopped. Below are some pictures from our pool time that day.

Our happy bunch of kids!

Later on that afternoon we went to Joe and Lacy's, ate lunch, and did a fun little 4th of July craft!
Can you guess what they are making on their pages?

Thank you Aunt Lacy for planning this fun craft!!!

Here are their masterpieces......

And the whole time we were doing the craft Blaine played with the toys on the floor. It was such a FUN day for everyone!

Our Fun Weekend with the Melin Family

In March our friends Jess and Kelli Melin came to visit us with their 3 beautiful children + 1 (baby girl) on the way. We had a fun, fun weekend with them. Friday afternoon we watched their kiddos while they went to the temple and that night they brought back some YUMMY pizzas. Saturday morning we we all met over at the Science Center and had a fun day together. We packed a lunch and ate it outside. The kids seemed to really have fun together. We love it when they come to visit. Hopefully we will go down soon to visit them and their new sweet baby girl who we have not met yet. While I was doing this post Tison came up to me and said, "I want to go to the Science Center to see TJ, Summer, and Matthew." I said, "Do you think they live their?" and he said, "YES!" That was the last place he saw them. TOO FUNNY!

Our Disney Trip in February '09

We have these wonderful friends named the Rosenlund Family. They needed a new bathroom and we were in need of a fun family vacation. We ended up trading with them.....Paul would remodel there Master Bath and we get a Disney Vacation. It was so fun! We stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian which was a real treat. We spent one day at the Magic Kingdom and the other Day at Epcot. The kids were so funny......they were so excited about staying at a hotel, because we rarely do, and they wanted to bring their bath robes with them. We stayed 2 nights there and on our last day there I surprised the kids with some room service.... breakfast in bed. They LOVED it. Blaine was only 3 moths old, but he was such an angel. You would have never known he was there. I posted a few pics. ENJOY!

THIS IS THE BEAUTIFUL BASKET THAT MOLLY ROSENLUND HAD PUT TOGETHER FOR US. IT WAS FILLED WITH SNACKS, JUICEBOXES, COLORING BOOKS, CRAYONS, AUTOGRAPH BOOKS, MICKEY DOLL FOR TISON, PRINCESS DOLLS FOR THE GIRLS, AND THOSE YUMMY FULL OF SUGAR LOLLIPOPS THAT I THINK WE ALL ENJOYED AS CHILDREN. THE KIDS WERE IN HEAVEN AND TOTALLY SPOILED. THEY REALLY ENJOYED THEIR LOLLIPOPS!

THE TEA CUPS ARE ALWAYS A MUST WHEN VISITING THE MAGIC KINGDOM! :)
OUR FIRST MORNING AT THE GRAND FLORIDIAN WE ENJOYED A CHARACTER BREAKFAST. TISON LOVED THE TIGGER AND POOH CHARACTERS, BUT HE WASN'T SO SURE OF THE REAL PEOPLE CHARACTERS. I THINK OTHER SMALL CHILDREN ARE USUALLY THE OPPOSITE OF THAT....

NOTICE HOW FAR AWAY HE IS FROM MARY POPPINS.

AT EPCOT WE ENJOYED THE PRINCESS LUNCH THEY HAVE AT THE NORWAY RESTAURANT....POOR TISON WAS SCARED OF THE PRINCESSES AND THEREFORE HE IS NOT IN ANY OF THE PICTURES.....MAYBE IT'S THE MAKE-UP? WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!

THIS IS THE VIEW FROM OUR BALCONY. IT WAS THE PERFECT SPOT TO SEE THE FIREWORKS AND THE LIGHT PARADE ON THE WATER AT NIGHT.

Thank you Molly and Adam for such a fun trip. We love you all!
